Track Etiquette

The CWC has a 4-lane track
There is a distance chart located under the arrow on the east wall.
Lane 1: 463’ / 154 yards ~ 11.4 times around = 1 mile
Lane 2: 483’ / 161 yards ~ 10.9 times around = 1 mile
Lane 3: 503’ / 168 yards ~ 10.5 times around = 1 mile
Lane 4: 522’ / 174 yards ~ 10.1 times around = 1 mile
Look for traffic before you start running/walking on the track.
Check the arrows on the east and west walls every day because the direction you walk changes to ease wear and tear on the track and because different muscles in your legs are worked during the curves.
The outside lanes are usually reserved for walking, while the inside lanes should be for running at the discretion of the team member.
Please refrain from standing and talking on the track. This interrupts people’s pace who are walking / running, and it will prevent possible injuries. The lounge would be a more ideal place to visit.
There is a heart rate chart & clock with a second hand next to the distance chart on the east wall.
